BUT the only problem is the time stamp on the disks and i 'may' be having troubles changing the time stamps and getting it to work.

Im guessing there are more people looking into this than me. I have just been able to crack the time stamp feature on the disks but there are one or more changes you have to make in the SQL database. But if you look it has a black Label! And there is accully a 25 pin connector at the top of the unit, 10 extra Pins If im not mistaken and it has a Oval 4 pin connector on the end JP specific Im sure and a 9 pin Deutsch connector. They are in a ' Y ' Format just like the 6 and 9 pin Deutsch connectors that come with the standard Nexiq.

They even have the same part numbers on the back, I opened the EDL up and its the same as a normal nexiq usb-link just with a new connector at the top and a few more leads on the PCB, I use to have pics. I just do not know where they are. Im sure if you traced the leads you could ' Jerry Rig' it to work with a normal nexiq! You would just have a Frankenstein looking nexiq, But for some of us. Its not ours untill its modified! They Use the same Drivers!

I have 2.8 downloaded. I installed it on VISTA. I also installed the data disc's. The only problems I have is a Search ERROR, The data discs I have expired in like NOV. 2009 and the 30 day trial is counting down. What USB LINK software do I use to connect? I cant connect to the bus modual.Before it expires try using cracklock to inject current time and you might stop countdown in its tracks.How did you get on burning discs and loading them,I have had trouble getting it to recognize data and my last go at burning new set of discs has failed.

On 4 pin unable to verify all go to ECU without any detailscol. Have you got a nexiq usb link yet? Where bouts are you located?

I got 2.8 to install by opening the 2.8 dvd in explorer and click on the setup.exe file under- Support-Service ADVISOR, then it installed with no errors with xp sp3,I found the same thing when install failed. I look at text file of install and said it failed for unapproved OS which it then skipped without ask. Found SA setup.exe and it then asked if I wanted to install on Uapproved OS. I followed this steps for licence:1.

Copy dl.xml to c:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataService ADVISOR folder5. Run dl.xml.regbut after i run the program says 'license is invalid or has expired' does any one know haow to solve this??I have had that problem,I think there is 2 folders very similar for step 4.See if you can find another Service advisor folder and copy it to there and then run step 5 again.
